Launching a luxury Turkish hotel in sporting style.
The Challenge
The Barut Hotel Collection selected The Ripple Effect as their PR partner for the launch of their latest addition, ANDA, in Didim Turkey.
The brief was to secure UK press to highlight the hotel and it’s 5* quality as a ‘must visit’ destination in 2024.
The Approach
ANDA boasts world class sporting facilities and equipment amongst other luxuries. In the run up to the 2024 Olympics in Paris, it presented us with a unique opportunity to showcase ANDA’s elite offering as part of a Olympic Wellness Weekend.
We secured a range of top talent athletes to act as the hosts of the weekend – from rowing with Rick Egington & Vicky Thornley, to running with Paula Radcliffe, beach fit with Colin Jackson, swimming with Rebecca Adlington and dance with James & Ola Jordan. Followmg a successful press breakfast event in London attended by athletes, journalists were invited to Turkey for the hotel launch later in the year.
The itinerary for the week gave journalists opportunity to train with the best of the best, but also to socialise with them and hear their amazing stories in a stunning location.
Each evening journalists would have a reservation to eat in one of the hotels eight different restaurants sampling different worldly cuisine.and post workout, would have all inclusive access to the spa facilities.
The Outcome
The campaign secured in excess of 100 pieces of coverage covering both pre and post launch event across national news, consumer, travel and trade titles. Stand out highlights included a 4-page spread in OK! magazine, a feature in Women’s Fitness , Top Sante, Trade Travel Gazette and Travel Weekly.
The campaign also generated significant social buzz with organic posts and promotion from all of the athletic talent involved and guests taking part.
The evaluation of the campaign was deemed so successful that the Olympic Wellness Weekend has been brought back by popular demand in 2025.
