We ensured over £3.5million was raised for the Trust’s campaign, which was also referenced in Parliament.

The Challenge

Third iteration of The Childhood Trust’s summer ‘Champions for Children’ campaign

The campaign aimed to raise over £3.5million in a week to support children and families living in poverty across London.

The Approach

Stark 33-page report combined with consumer survey to gauge wider British thinking,

Shocking statistics revealed that children across the UK had expressed concerns around the cost of living crisis, leading a small percentage to start self-harming. We led with the feelings of children and combined them with the Trust’s powerful case study quotes to build out our story.

The Outcome

Report covered by a wide selection of print, online and broadcast media across the UK.

Top tier coverage secured on BBC News, Times Radio, The Guardian, The Daily Mirror and The Independent, including a front-page-splash on the latter. Regional support came from BBC Three Counties Radio, BBC Radio Leeds, London Live and the Reachplc network.

Marsha de Cordovo, Labour MP cited the report in the House of Commons when speaking about the impacts of the cost of living crisis on constituents.
